Meet Your Instructor

Jenny Walters

  As a child, into my late teens, I struggled with anxiety and an intense sensitivity to what was going on around me, with no understanding of what I was feeling. By my late 20’s, I was suicidally depressed. Later, I would learn this is a common trajectory for many highly sensitive people. I had trouble feeling safe enough to be myself with people and went along to get along (read: no boundaries). I experienced the world as a place I didn’t belong, and I always wondered, “What’s wrong with me?” (hello, Enneagram 4!).
  In my work as a therapist I understand that our inside beliefs shape our outside reality. I am continually amazed at our ability as humans to grow and change and feel better, especially when we have some help, which is why I do this work. I'm a registered Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California, and while these courses are not therapy, the tools and techniques are ones my clients and I have found helpful.
  Now, when I work with my clients and course students, I’m helping them make their internal experience external so they can access their own insights and power. That’s what I’m here to help you do; to find and create ways to thrive because of your sensitivity. Not despite it.
